Jasmine Lai and her family, have been her daughter, Megan Tang’s biggest supporter throughout her journey as a Special Olympics Singapore athlete. Megan, who was born with Down Syndrome, started off first as a Young Athlete in 2010 and has since gone on to represent Singapore to compete in dancesport on the global stage.Jasmine accompanied Megan while she was competing at the recent Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, cheering her and her fellow athletes on. Megan Tang, a spirited Special Olympics Singapore

Megan Tang, a spirited Special Olympics Singapore athlete first began her journey with the movement as a young athlete in 2010. As a teenager, she went onto train and compete in dance when the country program kickstarted its Latin Dancesport outreach. Megan's energetic moves and infectious smile have been lighting up multiple performances ever since.Most recently, she shone on the world's stage at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy, where she confidently recited the Athletes’ Oath. In addition, Megan won a silver medal for the ballroom traditional mixed category.
