Salihin currently studies IT Application Development (Higher Nitec) at Institute of Technical Education College West and takes pride in working as a supervisor at Pizza Hut to support his family.
His journey with Special Olympics Singapore began in 2005. Inspired by his late father who was a national floorball player, Salihin has been actively involved in a variety of sports, including bocce, Unified floorball and dance sports. He also coaches other athletes in bocce. Salihin participated in the 2017 World Winter Games in Floorball and took home a silver medal.
With his long-standing contributions, Salihin currently serves as Co-Opted Member (Athlete Representative) of Special Olympics Singapore’s Executive Committee. He is the first athlete to have completed an internship with Special Olympics Singapore and paves the way for his fellow athlete leaders by advocating for the movement. Beyond Special Olympics, Salihin enjoys giving back to society and is an annual volunteer at Chingay and National Day Parades.
