Satyananda Kusuma

Satyananda is a 25-year-old entrepreneur from Medan, Indonesia. Born and raised in a multicultural environment, Satyananda grew up with an appreciation of diversity and a belief in equal rights without discrimination.

His advocacy for social inclusion began in 2018, when he represented Special Olympics Asia Pacific at the Asian Development Bank’s 6th Asian Youth Forum in South Korea and led workshops on inclusion for persons with intellectual disability. Satyananda also serves on the national Youth Activation Committee of Special Olympics Indonesia to oversee and develop Youth Clubs across the country. Beyond Special Olympics, Satyananda is also active in the Leo Club, previously as Charter President, and currently serves as Advisor.

As an alumni of Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme (SSEAYP) 2017, Satyananda also trains new youth ambassadors from 34 provinces across Indonesia.
