10 Ways To #WalkForInclusion

If you’re reading this, it means you are READY to WALK AROUND THE WORLD!

Every social video tagged with #walkforinclusion not only shows your support for young athletes with intellectual disabilities but more importantly, your contribution towards a more understanding, empathetic, and inclusive world for all!

Warm-up your legs and get your cameras rolling, presenting… 10 ways to walk for inclusion:

1. Old School Walking – no frills, no fuss walking.

2. Walking on toes – useful for travelling around babies or family members on zoom calls.

3. Backwards walking aka moonwalk – if you want to be a showoff and claim social creds for being cool.

4. Sideways walking aka crabwalk – If you want to be quirky instead of being cool.

5. Walk a Pet – Easier to do when you have a dog. Not so easy if your pet is a hamster, cat, or bird. We’ll send special appaws for such contributions though!

6. Zombie walk – Instructions: Imagine you are surrounded by people, keep an arm out to create some social distancing. Walk as though you’re pushing against a crowd.

7. Wheelies – know a stunt? A skateboard/rollerblades/ wheelies/ hoverboard fanatic? Be fast and furious with this one.

8. The Chase – You need a partner in crime for this one. Create some mini-drama by having two of you dashing in and out of frame. A seasoned camera person filming would increase the excitement here.

9. The Train – Get all your friends to stand in a line, hands-on shoulders in front of you. Now let’s go! Sound effects mandatory.

10. The <Your Name Here> Walk – are you sparked by any of the above ideas yet? Come up with your very own walk-in support of Young Athletes who are also trying to find their own ways to walk in their lives. At the end of the day, we’re all in it together.
