The special ability to overcome disability

Dinal Jain was born with Down Syndrome but she never let that get in the way of her dreams. With the support of her family and her determination, she represented her country in Abu Dhabi for the 2019 Special Olympics and bagged a Bronze in the category of 50 meters butterfly swimming. 

This is not how easy things were earlier though, Dinal was scared to even touch water let alone swim. Her family never forced her to do anything she did not want to, however, they made sure that she showed up for every practice.

‘She fights with me, she is equally stubborn and we used to get into trouble together all the time’ says Dinal’s Brother, Chanakya Jain. 

Dinal has taught her family more than they could ever imagine, here’s her story:
